Thrift Store Furniture Flip

thrift store furniture flip
There’s nothing like a fun Thrift Store Furniture Flip…and to me, this cheap little side table just screamed “Guitar Pick” from the moment I saw it. My daughter is actually the one who bought it at Goodwill for just $6.  She shares my love for redoing beat up old wood furniture.  The only problem was, this table…while having wooden legs, was topped with cheap veneer.  And it was in really bad shape, to boot! Thrift Store Furniture Makeover with Beyond Paint

I’m usually pretty good about starting and finishing projects in a timely manner.  But for some reason, this cute little dresser that my mom found for me at a thrift store has sat neglected in my garage for years.  I thought it was so unique with all it’s intricate detail, but I just didn’t know what to do with it. It wasn’t until I was contacted by Beyond Paint, that I decided to tackle this Thrift Store Furniture Makeover with Beyond Paint. Continue Reading →

Kids Table & Chair Set

Kids Table & Chair Set

This hand painted Kids Table & Chair Set is just one example of how productive I’ve been during this Covid-19 quarantine.  I finally got around to painting it yesterday.  It was another one of my thrift store finds that I bought with my great niece in mind…two years ago! Thankfully, she’s still young enough to enjoy it.  Continue Reading →

Pet Station

If you like to spoil that furry family member of yours, then you may want to make this one-of-a-kind Pet Station your next project.  This one is complete with a comfy bed, doggie artwork, and a drawer for storing toys, treats, and a leash.  It was made from a beat up old dresser I found at the thrift store.  Click the video above to see how it all came together.  Or, if you prefer photos and a step-by-step tutorial, read on. Accent Cabinet Makeover

Accent Cabinet Makeover

I had more than a few doubts when I took on this Accent Cabinet Makeover.  But now that it’s been structurally reinforced, re-painted, and dolled up, I have to admit, it turned out better than I expected.  This poor cabinet was pretty much on its last leg when a friend brought it to me and asked me to -quote- “see what I could do with it.”  I thought it was cute, but it was in really, REALLY bad shape.  Just see for yourself what it looked like before: Continue Reading →

Jewelry Display Stand

Jewelry Display Stand

This Jewelry Display Stand may motivate you to dust off your old jewelry box and finally do something about those unused pieces of jewelry.  And, I’m not saying that because of how darling this louvered door now showcases jewelry, and how the hand-painted embellishments add a little sweetness.  I say that because of what the name “ReJeweled” is all about.

A dear friend of mine launched ~ReJeweled~ five and a half years ago as a ministry; taking donated broken pieces of jewelry and reworking them into something altogether different and beautiful.  She gives much of it away to widows, single moms, and women who need their spirits lifted.  “It’s beauty for ashes,” my friend Christina likes to say, “a reminder of how God takes our brokenness and redeems us.” So when she asked me if I could spruce up her louvered door that she uses to display her re-imagined jewelry, I was honored. Chair Makeover

Chair Makeover

This Chair Makeover is a quick turn-around project you can do in a day… and if you’re like me, at a cost of only $5. Let me start by saying the chair was given to me by a dear friend who was downsizing and getting rid of things, and she thought I might be able to do something with it. The chair had seen many years and was well-worn, and I thought it was darling. Continue Reading →
